Inglewood Products Group is a family owned business that has specialised in the manufacturing and supply of Australian hardwoods for almost 60 years. Originally known as Inglewood Joinery and Cabinet Works, the business was founded by Ardino Gosatti in 1958 as a small timber manufacturing business employing less than ten people.
In the sixties and seventies Ardino embarked on a new strategy for growth into specialised timber products, investing heavily in cutting edge technology and training. By the mid 1980’s Inglewood Products Group had emerged as a medium sized specialist woodworking manufacturer and a leader in technical and market research and development for West Australian timber products.
Inglewood was also an innovator in modern woodworking techniques such as computerised processing, automated finishing facilities and methods, radio frequency gluing and de-humidifier drying. World-standard technology and craftsmanship opened up markets in Asia, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, mainland Europe and Japan.
Singapore 1985
A sales office was opened in Singapore in 1985 to facilitate the delivery of household doors, cabinet doors, timber outdoor furniture and wooden BBQ trolleys to Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia, the refurbishment of the Prime Minister of Singapore’s residence, as well as luxury villas throughout Singapore. Jarrah outdoor furniture was also sold to the Diplomatic Service of Brunei and uniquely engineered door systems supplied for the private residence of the Sultan of Brunei.
In the early nineties, Inglewood completed the installation of a sophisticated paint/lacquer finishing line enabling it to develop factory-finished products. The integration of this equipment into the manufacturing facility enabled Inglewood Products Group to enter new markets promoting factory-finished products such as pre-finished household doors, flooring and furniture components.
The start of the millennium provided the Company with new and exciting directions. The day-to-day management of the Company was handed to the next generation in this family business. Ardino’s sons’ Stefan, David and Carlo all held senior management positions, with the founder focusing on his passion for research in product and manufacturing techniques.
As it stands today, Inglewood Products Group is a committed and well-structured participant of the Western Australian timber industry. The Company’s product mix of firewood, saw milling, custom machining, outdoor furniture, joinery and component manufacturing work’s ensures Western Australia’s native hardwood resources are fully utilised and value added. Inglewood is proud to be one of the oldest privately owned woodworking companies in Australia and remains committed to being a responsive, reliable and high-quality supplier of Western Australia hardwoods to local and international markets.
